It serves as a transitional phase between 5G and future 6G networks, focusing on performance optimization, enhanced spectral and energy efficiency, and expanded functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c5G-A will always be part of the 5G legacy. What\u2019s interesting is how 5G is shifting the paradigm \u2014 not just in terms of traffic monetisation, but now towards experience monetisation,\u201d said Sameer Jameel, chief technology architect at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/consumer.huawei.com\/ae-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Huawei Middle East<\/a>&nbsp;and Central Asia, during the \u2018Telecoms &amp; Cloud \u2013 The Next Frontier\u2019 session at the Gulf Business Breakfast Briefing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He added, \u201cFor applications like live streaming \u2014 think concerts or large gatherings \u2014 individuals still face challenges sharing videos in real time. Operators in the Middle East and other regions are already working on experience monetisation, ensuring individual customers get the right bandwidth and a seamless data-sharing experience.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also highlighted the demand for high bandwidth in vertical industries like smart cities, manufacturing, and agriculture, all of which 5G can support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-trust-and-reputation-are-changing-in-the-age-of-ai\">How trust and reputation are changing in the age of AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Technology companies today are harnessing speed, processing power, and big data applications to unlock new levels of insight. These tools now shape public opinion and reputation at an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTake synthetic data, for example \u2014 it\u2019s built from millions of interview responses and used to create AI databases that predict opinion trends. But guess what? These are turning out to be some of the most inaccurate models in market research history,\u201d said Mazen Nahawi, founder and group CEO of Carma. \u201cThe key issue? The quality of your data and the security around it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-flaws-in-ai\">Flaws in AI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of AI\u2019s biggest flaws today is the lack of proper data verification. \u201cAnyone can feed data into an LLM (large language model), and most platforms aren\u2019t verifying the sources,\u201d said Nahawi. \u201cFor instance, The New York Times is suing OpenAI for scraping content from its digital editions without permission.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-ai-data-gaps-in-the-emerging-world\">AI: Data gaps in the emerging world<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Most data used to train AI doesn\u2019t represent the emerging world. Languages, histories, and perspectives from countries without strong digital infrastructure are often excluded. This positions AI as a tool of the powerful, reflecting their biases rather than global diversity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-data-reinforcement-wars\">Data reinforcement wars<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In today\u2019s AI-driven age, even Fortune 500 companies are reportedly using shadow marketing teams to influence data and discredit competitors. \u201cThere\u2019s no digital police to take down false data,\u201d Nahawi added. \u201cSo these companies manipulate AI to reinforce biased or misleading results.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-crypto-the-next-innovation-wave\">Crypto: The next innovation wave<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCrypto is the next wave of innovation, and the UAE is leading the market in several areas,\u201d said Alice Liu, head of research at CoinMarketCap. \u201cThree key areas include tokenized real estate, tokenized gold, and stablecoins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Dubai Land Department, tokenized real estate markets in Dubai are expected to grow by around 7.8 per cent annually over the next three years. \u201cThey are even issuing $1 billion worth of bonds tied to this trend,\u201d Liu said. \u201cDubai is becoming a global leader in these developments.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This was originally published on <a href=\"https:\/\/gulfbusiness.com\/gulf-business-tech-panel-dubais-key-players-pave-next-frontier-in-innovation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-amber-color\">Gulf Business<\/mark><\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second Gulf Business Breakfast Briefing of 2025, held on April 23, focused on innovation and emerging technologies.
