Mirroring last year\u2019s results, DBS\u2019 CEO Piyush Gupta is once again the most visible CEO in local media. The 2020 report highlighted Wilmar International\u2019s CEO Kuok Khoon Hong as most favourable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbs.com\/\"><b>DBS\u2019<\/b><\/a><b> Piyush Gupta<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> outperformed other CEOs in terms of volume of media mentions, as a result of his frequent communication around DBS\u2019 efforts to navigate the COVID-19 crisis. Gupta also publicly spoke about the issues surrounding his citizenship status at the time of appointment as DBS\u2019 CEO.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other highlights from the study include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wilmar-international.com\/\"><b>Wilmar International\u2019s<\/b><\/a><b> CEO Kuok Khoon Hong<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was named as the CEO with the most favourable mentions, following the agribusiness group\u2019s largest ever S$7m donation, as well as acknowledging that the business had continued to record positive performance in 2020<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singaporeair.com\/\"><b>Singapore Airlines\u2019<\/b><\/a><b> CEO, Goh Choon Phong<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was commended for being the first to publicly address the news surrounding SIA including staff layoffs and pay cuts, as well as their rapid response to the backlash following new initiatives such as the \u2018Flight To Nowhere\u2019&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ocbc.com\/\"><b>OCBC\u2019s<\/b><\/a><b> Samuel Tsien, <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uobgroup.com\/\"><b>UOB\u2019s<\/b><\/a><b> Wee Ee Cheong, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.singtel.com\/\"><b>Singtel\u2019s<\/b><\/a><b> Chua Sock Koong <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also named among Singapore\u2019s most visible CEOs for their prompt responses to the COVID-19 crisis, assurance of the companies\u2019 financial positions and introduction of digital transformation initiatives to ensure their companies are able to weather the storm<\/span><\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-1638 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/carma.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Screenshot-2020-11-09-at-3.54.25-PM-1024x616.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"481\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"layout\" data-id=\"row-1\" data-layout=\"layout_single_image\">\n<div class=\"acf-fields \">\n<div class=\"acf-field acf-field-image acf-field-5e9d4ac1f1ccc\" data-name=\"single_image_img\" data-type=\"image\" data-key=\"field_5e9d4ac1f1ccc\">\n<div class=\"acf-input\">\n<div class=\"acf-image-uploader has-value\" data-preview_size=\"medium\" data-library=\"all\" data-mime_types=\"\" data-uploader=\"wp\">\n<div class=\"show-if-value image-wrap\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"acf-actions -hover\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><b><i>Chart: Rankings of CEOs\u2019 performance across mainstream &amp; social media&nbsp;<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The CEO Brand Report 2020 examines both online and offline media using CARMA\u2019s renowned proprietary favourability rating.
