On the back of consistent growth worldwide, and with product development a central component to CARMA’s growth strategy, we brought our global product development teams together for a hackathon in our shiny new development hub in Malta.
Malta is one of CARMA’s 18 global offices, and the move further solidifies CARMA’s commitment to investing in the expansion, and depth of our product offering.
Our global team of product managers and engineers were tasked with solving critical challenges for both our clients and our business. The result is a proof of concept for a significant product upgrade which we’re planning to make available to clients in 2022.
Giving the team the chance to collaborate and creatively problem solve outside of their regular work-streams also helps build stronger relationships for when they’re back home working together remotely.
The Malta office is headed up by Sergio Monteiro (CTO) and will be home to CARMA’s centralised IT and Development teams, with the size of the team doubling during the past 18 months, and with more new hires joining the team, it’s an exciting chapter in CARMA’s continual growth.
The team is supported by our expanding global Product, IT & development teams, with members based in London, Lisbon, Dubai, Beirut, and Cairo.
The opening of the office had extra impetus, as it marked the first time since March 2020, that all the team were able to join up with one another due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the various travel and social restrictions in place.
Mazen Nahawi CEO, and Paul Hender COO were also present to officially open the office alongside Sergio, marking the occasion with a team champagne brunch!
