This month we begin rolling out Relevancy Score to help you pinpoint the most impactful monitoring results, plus new data visualisation options and an accessibility improvement with Alt Text added to images in newsletters.
Relevancy Score
The new CARMA Relevancy Score helps you to quickly identify the most important and relevant media monitoring results for your brand.
Relevancy score applies a weighting to mentions in the headline and first paragraph of an article of a specified tag or set of tags which can be tailored to your specific needs.
After optimising your media monitoring searches to eliminate completely irrelevant content, the Relevancy Score simply ranks the relevant content from ‘Most Relevant’ to ‘Lower Relevance’.
Relevancy Score can be used alongside other filters such as Outlet Tiers to refine the content in automated alerts. This lets you focus on the coverage that really matters and is likely to have the most impact.
We are currently rolling this out to all current clients, please contact your account manager for more information on the set up for your account.
Analytics Overview Dashboards
Top Languages Analytics:
Top Languages charts offer more options for creating language-related charts, either based on article outlet language or summary language, with the ability to change chart types.
Trend percentages added to KPI widgets:
We’ve introduced a sleek, new design for our Key Performance Indicators (KPI) widgets in the Analytics Overview dashboards. This update also incorporates a percentage trend feature to help you see changes over time, for more informed decision making.
Social Media Listening Analytics
Country Breakdown by Map:
This widget displays the top countries for social posts in an interactive map, allowing you to customize the display by selecting the top 5 or top 10 countries.
Chinese Social Networks added as filters:
Content from Chinese social networks – WeChat, Weibo, Douyin and RED (Xiaohongshu) – can now be found using the ‘Media Types’ filter on the Articles and Social Feeds pages.
Accessibility Improvements
Alt Text for images in newsletters:
Users can now customize alternative text (alt text) for images in newsletter and executive reports, enhancing accessibility and readability. This is particularly valuable for anyone using the Outlook app, especially in organizations that restrict automatic image downloads. By providing concise image descriptions, the customizable alt text ensures that key visual information remains accessible even when images can’t be displayed.
