Using a combination of cutting-edge technology and expert human insight, this report examines how the mainstream media across 12 countries portrayed the adoption and roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines in the critical four-month period between December 2020 and April 2021.
The report identified factors which may have contributed towards public trust and willingness to participate in the vaccine program as well as the media performance of the main vaccine manufacturers, comparing and contrasting the topics and issues that drove their coverage.
A representative sample of 4,000 clips were human researched, reviewed and coded with research and analysis covering sentiment, vaccine manufacturer breakdowns, trust attributes, commentators and influencers, and the use of emotive language within headlines.
