Global media intelligence and research firm CARMA has appointed Nur Sabrina Azmi (pictured) as general manager for Indonesia, reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of Southeast Asia’s largest communications markets.
Effective 1 June 2026, Azmi will oversee business development, client success and marketing activities across Indonesia. She reports directly to Andrew Nicholls, managing director of CARMA Asia.
The appointment also sees Azmi continue in her existing role as research solutions director, allowing her to bring regional expertise in media measurement and insights to support the company’s growth ambitions in Indonesia.
“Sabrina brings commitment and focus to everything she does at CARMA, and I am delighted to see her begin this new chapter. Her commercial drive and depth of expertise is the perfect mix to expand our Indonesia business and I am confident she and her team will achieve great things,” said Nicholls.
In her new position, Azmi – who has been with CARMA since 2019 – will focus on raising CARMA’s brand awareness in Indonesia, strengthening relationships with existing clients and expanding the company’s customer base.
“Above all, I want to advance measurement best practice and share insights to help communicators in this market demonstrate real impact,” she said.
CARMA officially launched in Indonesia in 2023. Founded in 1984, CARMA provides earned media intelligence, social listening and public opinion analysis services to organisations across the globe. The company said it combines proprietary technology with consultancy expertise to help clients turn data into actionable strategic insights.
The latest move follows CARMA Indonesia’s appointment of former Telum Media executive Aubrey Siahainenia as business development director, as the company continues to expand its local leadership team and growth efforts in the market.
