CARMA UK bolsters Leadership Team with Two New Appointments

Sam Greenslade joins as Global Sector Lead for FMCG and Ro Pleasant as Business Development Consultant.

As Global Sector Lead of FMCG, Sam will develop and build CARMA’s FMCG arm globally. Working with organisations to create media monitoring and analysis services, Sam will leverage CARMA’s global footprint to deliver research and consulting programmes.

Sam joins CARMA from Cision (Gorkana) and consumer insights platform GWI. Having been at Cision for seven years, Sam developed enterprise-grade media intelligence programs for big-name brands, including Coca-Cola, IKEA, and Unilever. Sam has taken some of the world’s largest organisations from a fragmented, single-market approach to media monitoring to a comprehensive multi-market, integrated research and consulting programme.

As CARMA’s new Business Development Consultant, Ro Pleasant will be responsible for the development of insights services in the finance, government, media, and property sectors throughout Europe and America.

Ro joins CARMA with over twenty years of experience in media. Previously at Briefcase News, Ro has had a diverse portfolio of client work. From converting one of the world’s largest steel producers to their first international multimillion-dollar media campaign and raising £250,000 of new business in the third sector – to leading the strategic media planning of a global aviation group across 46 markets internationally and averaging $8 million in revenue per year for CNBC for 14 years.

Richard Bagnall, CEO and global co-managing partner of Europe and the Americas at CARMA said: “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome these two industry experts to CARMA’s global team. Sam and Ro’s extensive and diverse media experience and track record for delivering innovative media monitoring approaches make them a natural fit for CARMA. As we grow our portfolio of clients and partners, I look forward to having Sam and Ro on board to continue helping organisations measure their impact and make better-informed decisions”.

These appointments are part of CARMA’s commitment to delivering rich media insights to their clients and establishing a highly specialised team with vast industry expertise.
