CARMA has not implemented an Environmental or Sustainability Management System.
Our approach to this matter:
At CARMA, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting sustainable
practices. We believe that every step, no matter how small, contributes to a greener future. We are
taking concrete actions in the present and have a clear vision for the future to achieve our
sustainability goals.
In the present, CARMA encourages remote work and virtual meetings to minimize business trips and
reduce our carbon emissions. Our employees currently work three days remotely, and we actively
promote virtual meetings using video conferencing, collaboration tools, and project management
software to foster remote collaboration.
Employee awareness and engagement are vital to our carbon reduction efforts. We consistently
remind our employees to utilize public transportation or environmentally friendly vehicles for their
daily commute and daily routines. We encourage our employees to share their ideas and
suggestions for emission reductions, and our management and HR doors are always open to listen
and implement innovative approaches.
In the near future, CARMA plans to implement energy efficiency measures and embrace renewable
energy sources. We will introduce LED lighting and evaporative coolers in our offices and data
centers to reduce energy consumption. Additionally, we will evaluate the feasibility of transitioning
to renewable energy sources, such as solar panels, or explore power purchase agreements (PPAs)
with renewable energy providers to further reduce our carbon footprint.
Offsetting our remaining emissions is also a priority for CARMA. We are actively exploring options
to participate in carbon offset projects, particularly community-based initiatives that align with our
values. We believe in making a positive impact not only within our company but also in the
communities where we operate, and our employees will have opportunities to volunteer and
contribute to these projects.
Looking ahead, CARMA has plans to conduct a comprehensive Carbon Footprint Assessment. This
assessment will be conducted by engaging sustainability consultants or utilizing carbon footprint
calculation tools. The aim is to gain a clear understanding of our company’s carbon footprint and
develop an effective plan to systematically reduce it.
CARMA is dedicated to driving positive change and embracing sustainability at every level. By
implementing these initiatives, we strive to become a more environmentally responsible company
and inspire others to join us in building a greener future.
CARMA’s current level of renewable energy is 43% and we have plans in place to move to 100%
renewable across our 18 offices (in markets where 100% supply is available) by 2030.
