Utilising data collected from a peak holiday period, we analysed how ten airlines in Asia were represented in the news and on social media.

The report aims to:

  1. Identify the key players in the industry and their overall positioning
    according to media and customer perspectives.
  2. Highlight any significant trends and topics driving the discussion.
  3. Evaluate how specific events, developments, or incidents have impacted the reputation of these entities.

Comparing and analysing the key editorial themes, social media perceptions and C-suite representation surrounding the airlines, helps to gain a comprehensive understanding of the PR trends in this turbulent industry.

Methodology

Ten airlines from Southeast Asia and Hong Kong were selected for this study based on their volume of coverage in online outlets, and on social platforms.

31,500 articles
(Tier-1 mainstream news and trade publications)

Volume of social media posts analysed: 

105,000 social media posts
(Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook)

Metrics captured:
