CARMA’s KSA Perception Report Chronicling a Nation’s Transformation

In relation to the recent findings of the latest report “KSA Reputation: How Vision 2030 Is Rebranding the Nation”, our group CEO, Mazen Nahawi, discussed the major role that Vision 2030 played in shifting the media perception of Saudi Arabia.

The report includes key insights from 2020 until the first quarter of 2022 and the impact this could have on the Kingdom’s future coverage.

"Social coverage increased from 19% to 21%, but the biggest shift was in the economic component from 39% to 44%. If we take into account both the economic and social components, we find that 65% of the coverage is no longer political, which is a positive development."

"We can see a significant change in 2021 when it comes to Vision 2030. It increased by about 40% from 19% to 27% during this period. And all other topics, in general, decreased from 45% to 28%. The biggest shift goes to the coverage of Vision 2030 scoring a 40% increase."

"The political topics decreased by 7%, From 42% to 35%, a significant decrease, and this is very important because the Kingdom’s reputation is not only related to political matters."
