Q1 2026 – Everything New in CARMA Insight

Q1 2026 has been our biggest quarter yet. We have expanded what you can monitor, deepened how you understand it, made reporting faster and more visual, rebuilt our mobile experience from scratch, and we have something entirely new on the horizon.

See What Others Miss

More Platforms, Deeper Conversations, Stronger Coverage

The best intelligence starts with the most complete picture. A story that starts on Threads and spreads to a forum and gets picked up on YouTube is one story but if your monitoring only catches part of it, your picture is incomplete. This quarter, that picture got significantly wider.

Five new social platforms are now fully supported in Insight.

Bluesky, Threads, Snapchat, Pinterest, and Dailymotion can now sit alongside your existing social coverage. Upload content from any of these platforms and it becomes fully searchable, filterable, and ready to report on behaving exactly like native social data inside Insight. Wherever the conversation is happening, you are now there.

Forums and Blogs now deliver full conversation structure.

You have always been able to monitor forums and blogs inside Insight. But this quarter we made a meaningful leap forward. Coverage now comes through with full post and comment structure across 1,000+ sources. Posts and comments surface separately, so you can trace exactly how a discussion begins, who shapes it, and where it travels. That is the difference between knowing a conversation happened and actually understanding it and for early issue detection, it changes everything.

Asian social monitoring is now richer, more reliable, and deeper than ever.

CARMA has offered Asian social monitoring for some time. This quarter we migrated to a significantly stronger data source, and the upgrade is meaningful. Coverage across Weibo, Douyin, WeChat, Red, and Toutiao now comes with social metrics included from day one likes, shares, impressions and historical data available from setup, not just from go-live.

For teams monitoring APAC markets or reporting on Asian audiences, this is a substantial step forward in depth.

Video content now shows thumbnail previews across social and broadcast streams.

This one is smaller in scale but immediately noticeable in practice. Video content in social and broadcast streams now displays thumbnail previews rather than plain URLs. Streams are cleaner, faster to review, and significantly more visual particularly for teams monitoring X, YouTube, and broadcast content.

Insight That Goes Deeper

Smarter Sentiment and AI-Powered Discovery, Built into Your Project

Understanding what your coverage means has always been at the heart of what CARMA does. This quarter, two significant AI updates make that understanding sharper.

Sentiment now works at the entity level.

Previously, sentiment was applied at the article level one score, one article. When multiple organisations appeared in the same piece, the result was an averaged read that could obscure as much as it revealed.

Now, when multiple organisations appear in the same article, Insight identifies how each one was positioned separately. Your brand gets its own sentiment score, read independently from every other organisation mentioned alongside it. You see exactly what is being said about you, even when the article mentions five others. Your team gets the clarity to act on what matters most, instantly not a blended picture that requires interpretation.

Smart Tags automatically surface what is emerging in your coverage.

Setting up a project means defining what you want to track. But the most interesting things are often what you did not know to look for.

Smart Tags change that. They automatically identify and tag people, organisations, themes, products, sub-sectors, and industry events directly from your coverage including entities that were never part of your original project setup. A new competitor starts generating coverage? A spokesperson begins picking up mentions? A product launch gains traction? Smart Tags surface it automatically and make it filterable across the platform.

Your project gets smarter over time, without any extra configuration required.

Present with Confidence

Smarter KPIs, Easier Sharing, and Sharper Charts

Reporting is where the work becomes visible. These three updates each make a different part of that process faster, cleaner, and more impactful.

KPI widgets now show movement over time.

A metric on its own tells you where you are. A metric with context tells you whether that is good. KPI and Infographic widgets now support Trend Comparison set a custom comparison period and the variance appears right inside the widget alongside your current figure. Growth, momentum, stability: visible at a glance, with no extra widgets, no separate calculations, and no manual cross-referencing.

For executive dashboards and client-facing reporting, this changes the conversation from “here is the number” to “here is what it means.”

Dashboard sharing now takes seconds.

Previously, giving a colleague access to a private dashboard meant duplicating it. Now you share it directly. A simple Share button, a quick selection of who should have access, and they are in. Shared dashboards appear in a dedicated folder for recipients. Ownership stays with you, access goes where you need it. For larger teams and shared accounts, this removes a significant friction point from everyday collaboration.
