Gareth Owens has joined CARMA’s commercial team and will lead its US and European expansion efforts in the enterprise market. Owens brings to CARMA a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise, having spent more than 20-years in commercial roles within the media intelligence sector. Owen’s recent appointment is one of several senior hires by the company as its reputation for superior levels of client service and retention continues to attract talent.
Past sales positions include tenure at both Gorkana and Metrica, where he developed a passion for helping major organisations with complex structures and comms programmes understand & improve performance. More recently, Owens was UK & US MD of Linkfluence, a social media intelligence company, during which time he launched the company’s US operations.
Commenting on his appointment, Owens said: “Having been part of the media intelligence community for 20 plus years I’ve witnessed first-hand how the media landscape has changed and the challenges that presents. It’s my experience that the organisations which best weather media turbulence are those who’ve taken the time to analyse, benchmark, and evaluate the space they inhabit. Outside of CARMA, Owens is an avid gamer and a motorcycle enthusiast.
